We are the Delille Academy family, committed in service to the students who have been entrusted to our care. Our mission to our school and our students remain the same –“…To provide a foundation and holistic education for students who have completed primary school but were impeded from placement in another high school, has as its aim, the formation of youth to optimize individual capacities in Christian, family and community values, the appreciation of the diversity of cultures and formation in social justice through service”.

In the twenty-five years since Delille Academy came into being, it has weathered many storms but equally, too, it has garnered many achievements that have made us very proud and persistent on our journey.

MISSION STATEMENT

Delille Academy, a Catholic High School, founded by the Sisters of the Holy Family to provide a fundamental and holistic education for students who have completed primary school, has as its aims, the formation of youth to optimize individual capacities in Christian, family and community values, the appreciation of the diversity of cultures and formation in social justice through service.

SCHOOL’S PHILOSOPHY

We, the Faculty of Delille Academy believe that we share in a mission to proclaim the goodness of God and to assist in the total development of the children we teach. Inspired by the message and teaching of Jesus, we are committed to providing an educational environment, which will strengthen the spiritual and social values of the students, and enhance their personal academic development. The philosophy of Delille Academy as its motto “A place where hope begins and dreams come true” is directed toward the growth and maturation of the student through Christian formation. Delille Academy is a Catholic High School.

CLASS GOVERNMENT:

Each class is to elect a class President / Representative and an Alternate. When selecting these persons students are encouraged to choose individuals who are:

Honest
Punctual to school as well as to all classes
Hardworking: shows initiative and volunteers to do other duties not assigned
Follows school rules: students with more than one suspension will not be allowed to vie for office
Gets along well with the majority of classmates

Able to make reasonable decisions fairly (not biased or limited by cliques/association)
